hey any more information on the drags this weekend? checked the sight this time but it says to be advised... and from a previous topic: a few "brave/cheap" racers kip out at the track in a tent (or blithey's hummer!!!) that keeps the costs down. ;D why did nobody tell me that you can stay at the track?... but i dont think id be allowed to stay in the hummer just in case some certain ppl heard bout it, i would never hear the end of it ;D ;D ;D

I think youve always been allowed to camp the night there, its mainly over by the stand of trees boardering ont he edge of the riverbank, on the southern side of the airfield.
Put up your tent and your away, cheap as chips, if you want a roast chicken from the supermarket you have to get in quick, theyre all gone by 7pm.
the fish n chip shop by the new world, near KFC is pretty good.
Just make sure that everyone behaves in the pits or surrounding area when they stay the night with you, we are all responsable for what happens there at night, and all have the common right to police the area and keep it all sain, for the future of the venue.

Great weekend except for 4 things ... The heat on Saturday. The heat on Sunday. The fact that in the 1st elimination round I put my dial in on the wrong line, and raced against a 12.4 instead of a 14.9. Guess who lost The brick was over half a second off its best and it pissed me off !!! Cheers Mike

heaps of racers were way off the pace and questioned the lights...however, the big cars with on board computers told the story. Yes the heat was a killer and it was the reason you were all running slower. The air was shlt and it reflected across the whole feilds. I peeked at one computer read out and they had the fuel ratio set where they normally run at MMP but due to the air being hot, hot and thin, they had a reading of 176 degs. inside the cylinders.... heaps of fuel and no air. The high ratio of fuel was cooling the pots down.
Yes it was hot. did i mention it was hot? All did go well from the racing point of veiw.. we had a couple of gremlins as we expected but other than the stress on the opperator (Grant) it went fairly well.
