hey your out there, doing it, and having fun, thats the main thing, times arent that important, its the having fun that counts. you can get more serious with it over time, but the more serious you get, the less fun you have.

I beg to differ Alan. You can still have a blast and be competitive too. We do.

Naaa. I'm with Avgas on this one. Oh, hell yes i still have fun, when i get to race, but the best racing fun our team ever had was when it was simple.. as we got more serious the more work between rounds, the more stress , the more money between seasons ,mmmmmmmmm I remember DYO in my hot rod ford...fun and more fun. Dont get me wrong,, more serious and going faster is a great buzz also, but there is a fine line between fun and pleasure.

Im just saying that bit by bit, as you get more serious, you have to become more business like, and it maybe becomes more of a chore, and you get more competitive and so on and so on, until your stressed about money for the car, stressed about team work, getting stuff done, the car performing, you performing, whos going to beat you, what could go wrong, and before you know it, your all consumed and busy thrasing between rounds as your ultra competitive car now needs between rounds work, and you dont have time to walk the pits, eating hotdogs, talking to others and having fun.
I was maybe taking it to the other end of the scale, where it can end up for some people, if they become all consumed by the need to go faster or win all the time.
me, I will never be that person, I want to race, have fun, walk and talk and eat hotdogs etc, not thrash between rounds etc etc

Well done, a very respectable time, and impressive to watch too. You guys can really make those Skylines HAUL! No-matter how much I try to prepare myself for it, Dave D's backfires get me every time!
