I have to agree with the above comments, I was on the burnout camera and was told to really get heaps of the K & N logo, which I did, got lots of good takeoffs with the K & N logos passing in view, I didn’t really see any on the TV. although I did get 2 pieces of camera work on it (from me), the blue and flamed altered doing a burnout and the lauton (sorry about the spelling) boys doing a good big skid with the K&N sign in view, I got LOADS of vid of that 57 chev (cant remember the name) number plate "57 rat" doing big burnouts on the strip, they could of put that on and said some like "here you young guns, this is where you should be doing burnouts (and know what cars to get), ya know, and who was the guy doing the talkin on the microphone on TV?, they should of got some one like ma dad or manwell from Auckland, the know what they are talkin about. anyways that’s ma word for now. cheers holden_fan
PS: I sold ma scooter hehehe

I have been told that the TV crew were not prepared for the amount of footage that they would have to cover and did not have enough film to cover the entire meeting? ? They asked on Sunday how much longer till the finals and how many cars were in the finals so that they cauld try and make the tapes stretch. Go figure? ??

and like that commercial on Tv for some starving kid in some 3rd world shytehole country, waiting for an aid package
"And still a little boy waits"
and like that little straving kid with the blow flies crawling out his mouth, we well me anyway, thats for sure, im still waiting for a reply, some answers and explanations and maybe a promise of perhaps
"we will do better next time"
so come on the silence is still deafening, whys that ??

Beats me, you can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink it. Perhaps embarasment, and/or having no real excuse or explanation? As I said, I never saw it, so cant even say if it was crap or not. Wouldnt a half hour weekly show similarto what the stock cars get be a good tool for ((REAL)) Drag Racing awareness?? Bring it on, lets let TVNZ or simillar know what we want, like they say, it's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil!

yeah Justin, seems Im squeaking to the wrong people ;D but yeah a good idea to try and get out cause, recognised by mainstream Tv, might have to do some digging and find someone to approach over it.

The NZDRA AGM was held 2 weeks ago, I presume your concerns were raised on your behalf by your drivers rep & the masterton motoplex track rep. Have they answered your questions yet?

Havent heard a word, and frankly I would be surprised if we do.
hey all good meeting and reps and reporting back blah blah.
but whats stopping those concerned from airing the laundy right here, so everyone online can read it see what's the go, and hear the answers straight from the horses mouth.
and be open to some honest questions and answer time, rather than say perhaps, hide behind an orginisation and officialdom.
I just want answers, don't care who they come from, but would prefer from the horses mouth, and Im not the only discusted wellington / MMP racer, who thought the coverage stunk worse than Moa Point ever did.

Well lets put there names out there, the people who should be answering your questions are the Track Rep appointed by MMP which is currently Bob Wilton & your elected Drivers Rep which is currently Tony Bennis. These are the NZDRA Board members that should be anwering your queries. There contact details are available at www.nzdra.co.nz .
